Get ready for a summer of fun with one of WebTV Networks' biggest service upgrades to date. It's packed with new features! We're really excited about some new features that will be coming your way in the next few weeks, including big changes to the Web Home page, a way to create your own Web page for everyone on the Internet to see, and a great new list of "Things to Try" on the Web. BIG CHANGES TO WEB HOME, AND MORE We've made it easy to get the best of the Internet. Our new Web Home page and WebTV Centers will help you find the information you want, quickly and more conveniently than before. The WebTV Centers let you quickly access up-to-the minute information in the areas of News, Sports, Entertainment, Shopping and Money. (You can get a sneak preview of what the new Web Home page looks like by selecting the link to the Club WebTV Special Edition at the end of this mail.) Want to know more about your favorite TV shows or what's new on video? Our Entertainment Center connects you to the latest information. Track sports teams, check out game times and even create your own fantasy league in the Sports Center. And now, each WebTV Center links you to chats related to that subject area. Create your own Web page to share with your Internet friends. It's easy with Page Builder. Want to show photos from your vacation, highlight your hobbies, or tell everyone about your favorite movies? Let your imagination run wild. Making your own Web page has never been easier. Just select the new Community area at the top of the Web Home page, then choose Page Builder. After you've made your own Web page, tell others about it with an animated greeting from E-greetings: Select the E-greetings button on the Mail List page. Shop online with peace of mind. Now you can feel at ease making purchases over the Internet. WebTV Networks has partnered with First USA Bank to offer a shopping guarantee. Now when you use your credit card to purchase items from merchants featured in the WebTV Shopping Center, you're protected against fraudulent transactions. You can find almost anything you need using our new "Things to Try" section in the WebTV Centers or in Search. Whether you're looking to purchase a small gift or a large home, find a mutual fund or a mutual friend, check out travel deals or a new movie, get a credit card or a credit report, read your horoscope, or take a tour through your family history, you can do it quickly and easily with this great list of useful Web sites. You'll be surprised by all the things you can try on the Internet. Track down information more easily. Use our improved Search tool to locate the information you want quickly and easily. We've partnered with InfoSeek so you can search by topic or browse by category. (This big list of categories was formerly found in WebTV Explore). And if you're looking for a jump-start to get the most from your WebTV, the redesigned Help Center is a must see. You'll find answers to commonly asked questions about using the Web, how to personalize WebTV, handy tips and tricks, and information about cool TV features such as VCR recording, and a way to watch TV and surf the Web at the same time! Select Help on the Web Home page to access the Help Center. Checking your WebTV account is a snap. Review your billing statement through your WebTV unit with complete security by selecting Account on the new Web Home page. And, if you use a long distance number to access the WebTV Network, the Account area may help you save money because it explains how to sign up with a local Internet Service Provider (ISP) for a local access line. (Select Account, then choose Use an ISP.) NEW PRODUCTS You may have heard that Sony Consumer Electronics and Philips Consumer Electronics have just introduced new versions of the Classic and Plus WebTV units. These new products will connect to the same WebTV Network service you enjoy today. We'll continue to provide upgrades and add new features to this service. You can learn more about the new products on the redesigned corporate Web site.
