Normal Boot Method (PS2
Backups) |
- Insert the GameShark2 CD 1
- Power off the PS2 for 5 seconds
- Turn on the machine - will boot to main menu
- Select START GAME
- Select WITHOUT CODES
- Hold down the EJECT button to eject the disc tray
until the RESET button light flashes orange when
prompted
- Swap GameShark2 disc with your PS2 backup
- After 5 seconds the disc tray will automatically
close
- Press X AS SOON as the tray closes
- The game will now load

- Insert the GameShark2 CD 1
- Power off the PS2 for 5 seconds
- Turn on the machine - will boot to main menu
- At the GameShark2 main menu press EJECT to open
the disc tray then remove the GameShark2 CD and
replace it with an original DVD-ROM based PS2 game
which has a larger TOC (table of contents) than that
of your DVD-R copy (click here for a TOC size
database)
- Close the disc tray by pressing the EJECT button
again and wait for 30 seconds before continuing
- Select START GAME
- Select WITHOUT CODES
- Hold down the EJECT button to eject the disc tray
until the RESET button light flashes orange when
prompted
- Swap GameShark2 disc with your PS2 backup
- After 5 seconds the disc tray will automatically
close
- Press X AS SOON as the tray closes
- The game will now load
Note: Some of the newer games have a dubble protection, games like Tomb Raider AOD. To bypass this try using WITH CODES in step 7. I found that slecting any game using ONLY the master code these dubble protected games will boot on ps2 versions 1-6 Not version 7+.

- Insert the GameShark2 CD 1
- Power off the PS2 for 5 seconds
- Turn on the machine - will boot to main menu
- At the GameShark2 main menu press EJECT to open

- Select GameShark Codes
- Select "any" game
- Toggle on or off any code
- Go back to main menu
- Select Start Game
- Select WITHOUT CODES
- On next screen press X, as soon as you do this you will see a screen that says saving data or something like that. As soon as you see that hold down the EJECT button to eject the disc tray
until the RESET button light flashes orange.
- Swap Original disc with your PS2 backup
- After 5 seconds the disc tray will automatically
close
- Press X AS SOON as the tray closes
- The game will now load
